Trade rows- point of interest in Bila Tserkva

The «shopping center» of Bila Tserkva was a Jewish city (the streets of Yaroslav the Wise and Gagarin lead here from the square) with Torgovaya Square. This is one of attractions of the city. Trade rows were built after the signing of agreements with the Jewish community and the mass settlement of the Bila Tserkva of the Jews.

The trading rows radically changed the economic and commercial life of Bila Tserkvav, because they themselves were associated with holding the nearly largest trade fairs of the Kiev gubernia — Nikolaev and Transfiguration.

Jews began to build large brick and wooden structures around the ranks of the leased county lands: houses, shops, artisans’ workshops, and even hotels.
